The Civil Engineering Undergraduate Program of the UNISSULA Faculty of Engineering has successfully maintained its Excellent accreditation from the Indonesian Engineering Accreditation Board (LAM Teknik). This is stated in Decree No. 029/SK/LAM Teknik/AS/VIII/2025, which remains valid until 20 August 2030.
UNISSULA Rector Prof. Dr. Gunarto, S.H., M.H., expressed his appreciation for this achievement. Alhamdulillah, the UNISSULA Civil Engineering Program has successfully maintained its Excellent accreditation from LAM Teknik. The UNISSULA Civil Engineering Program continues to demonstrate its quality as an educational brand trusted by many global institutions, including Erasmus+, which provides annual grants to support research and lecturer and student exchanges between UNISSULA and Europe. The competitiveness of UNISSULA Civil Engineering is also very strong. In recent years, its students have consistently dominated national bridge design competitions and represented Indonesia in various international bridge competitions, he said on Saturday, 16 August 2025.
Meanwhile, the Dean of the UNISSULA Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Abdul Rochim, S.T., M.T., highlighted several strengths of the UNISSULA Civil Engineering Program, including strategic partnerships with universities at home and abroad to support the development of the university's three missions.
Key partnerships have been established with Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, Hanze University of Applied Sciences, VIA University College in Denmark, and GdaDsk University in Poland through the Erasmus+ grant program. One form of cooperation provides students with opportunities to participate in a one-semester student exchange abroad.
After successfully maintaining its Excellent accreditation, the UNISSULA Civil Engineering Program is now pursuing international accreditation. The program is also committed to continuously improving learning, research, and community service so that it can make a real contribution to sustainable development, particularly in civil engineering.
By strengthening international cooperation, developing applied research, and improving student achievements, we hope to produce graduates who can design resilient and environmentally friendly infrastructure at both national and global levels, said Abdul Rochim.
Previously, the Civil Engineering Program was assessed by two LAM Teknik assessors on 3 and 4 July 2025: Dr. Eng. Ir. Halfwan Alfisa Saifullah, S.T., M.T., from UNS, and Dr. Ir. Muhammad Assad Abdurrahman, S.T., M.Eng., PM, from Unhas.
